Bureau Veritas Sri Lanka awarded with a Contract with Trinco Petroleum Terminals Ltd.

Bureau Veritas Lanka (Pvt) Ltd., was awarded with a Contract for Health Assessment of 10 Cone roof vertical rivetted tanks at tank farm of Trinco Petroleum Terminals Ltd., (TPTL), Trincomalee, Sri Lanka.

TPTL is a Joint venture company of Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) and Lanka IOC Ltd., (with 51:49 stake respectively) formed to develop the Trincomalee Oil Tank farm. “Trinco Petroleum Terminals LTD” has the control of 51 Oil Storage Tanks built during the World War II era in a 600 acre land bordering the Trincomalee port in North Eastern Sri Lanka. The tank farm has total of 99 Riveted tanks of which 15 tanks are currently operated by Lanka IOC. The balance is expected to be used by CPC. In the first phase 10 tanks with a capacity of 10,000 metric tonnes each will be refurbished for white and black oils.

Bureau Veritas Lanka (Pvt) Ltd., won the contract for Health Assessment of these 10 Oil Storage Tanks through a competitive bidding and secured its position with strong past experience in similar assignments at the said Tank Farm in Trincomalee backed by its world-wide experience in Oil and Gas Industry.
